Nestled away in one of the myriad of nooks, crannies, and alleyways that make up the Sultanate of Ul'dah, rests a quaint, cozy jewelry store with a wooden sign depicting an overzealous rabbit pulling a diamond solitaire ring twice his size. This is the Rabbit and the Ring. A store serving all walks of life from the lowliest pauper to the most affluent royals. Whispers even speak of the proprietor's dealing with the Sultana herself. Stop by our popup shop, and be sure to try some donuts and delicacies, too.

Gladiator rings have had their place in Ishgard since time immemorable. Besides prizes and a cheering crowd, winning an Ishgardian tournament brings prestige and bragging rights for the year to come.

• Fighters will post in Shout chat and Yell chat, depending on which match group they're in. /sh /y
• Fighters should be preparing and be ready to start as soon as it is their turn. A table with order will be posted once everyone has signed up. If a fighter does not show up for their slot, people will be chosen at random from the waitlist.
• We are having fun! No attempts at killing or maiming!
• Grindstone Style combat, meaning /random rolls for attacking and blocking. The two combatants will roll to see who goes first, that being highest number, and then the winner will start combat by writing out their attack, roll for said attack while the defender rolls as well, and then the defender will write out an appropriate defense or hit depending on the dice, and so on and so forth.
• First to 3 hits wins!
• All matches can only last 15 minutes due to time constraints. Please limit your posts to only a few sentences to make time.
• Sudden Death will occur at 15 minutes, meaning fighters will continue to roll against each other while forgoing posts/attacker and defender roles, with the highest number from each roll off adding 1 to their total score until a total of 3 has been reached.

Jousting has a standing history as an opportunity for Ishgardians wishing to prove themselves to the general community (and Her Fury), be they knights seeking glory, or those hoping to become one. Excitement rumbles atop the stones as young men and women show off they and their chocobo's combined might and prowess on the field.

• Jousters will gather back where you see the two standing outside the center ring.
• Emotes will be done in yell chat - this way everyone can see your emotes.
• Please respect each other's time and commitment - sell the hits you take, try not to take too long with posts, and ideally keep post length reasonable.Scroll down for more info!
The Joust
• When names are called up, the jousters will take a position opposite of one another, these positions indicated by 1 and 2. Salute your opponent! It is honorable.
• Once both parties are ready, an emote for "The flag is lowered!" will go out; this is your cue to roll with /random for your gallop roll.
• A gallop roll of at least 700 will add 200 to your next roll.
• Once both have rolled, an emote for "The flag is raised!" will go out; this is your cue to run to the center, marked with C, and roll with /random for your actual attack.
• Once the outcome is tallied, put out an emote for your character's charge, strike, and reaction before making your way to your new position (e.g. if you started at 2, move to 1).
• You have a brief period for an additional post before the next pass - fetch a new lance to replace your broken one, wave to whoever's honor you fight for, brace for the next pass, etc. I'll put out ready checks to ensure that both players are ready to go again
• Repeat until a winner is declared or until 3 passes have elapsed.How to win at Joust
• Your attack rolls dictate your outcome, as follows.
• A charge of 600+ will cause your lance to break against your opponent, counting for a point. Both jousters can earn points in the same pass.
• A charge of 1000+ will unseat your opponent altogether, and instantly declare you the victor. If both jousters are unseated, the highest point total takes the victory.
• If on the 3rd pass, your rolls would continue a tie, the highest attack roll will break a lance and earn the winning point.Bracket:
